Because of their look, they were called "Mecha-ude," since they resembled mechanical limbs when merged. Hikaru Amatsuga, an ordinary middle school student, works alongside the Mecha-ude Arma, a very unique and unusual existence, through an unintentional relationship. Aki Murasame, a dual Mecha-ude user, is assigned by the rebel group ARMS to follow Arma everywhere in order to protect him. She is also searching for an enigmatic Snake-Type Mecha-ude wielding, though, who has critically injured several of her allies. In the background, a group called the Kagami Group is looking for the fabled "Trigger Arm," a Mecha-ude that is supposed to give unbounded power. When this group threatens Aki's life, Hikaru and Arma must band together to muster the strength to save Aki and discover that his life will never be the same again.
